Mariners are advised that an inspection of the rock revetment and shoreline north of Gourock Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde will be undertaken today, Friday 28 September 2018.

Network Rail Civil Examination contractors, Geckotech Solutions Ltd will be operating from the shore and a rigid inflatable boat, callsign ‘Geckotech ’.   The workboat will be operated along the length of the inspection area and it is anticipated the works will be completed within one day.

The contractor’s supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager, Masters and skippers of the Caledonian MacBrayne, Argyll and Kilcreggan ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channels 12 and 16 will also be monitored.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gourock Ferry Terminal are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
