Mariners are advised that CMAL’s consultants Mott MacDonald will be conducting an inspection of the fendering on the south side of the outer pier dolphin at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal, West Loch Tarbert, Argyll.
The inspection will commence during the morning of 30 July 2018 and will be supported by the workboat Dorus Mor which will thereafter be used to undertake repairs to the fender system.
Communication will be maintained by the workboat skipper as required via VHF radio channel 16 throughout the period of inspection and subsequent repair works. The survey and repairs will be undertaken out with scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Kennacraig Ferry Terminal at this time are requested to do so with caution, maintain a lookout for the workboat and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly during the period of works.
