Mariners are advised that on 21st October 2020, berth stabilisation works will commence at the old Kilcreggan Ferry Steps, Gourock Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde. The works are scheduled to be completed by mid-December 2020.
Throughout this time scheduled ferry services will continue operation from the new steps structure.
Works will predominantly be undertaken by divers operating from the dive support vessel ‘Hound Voyager’ that will be berthed alongside the steps. An A-Flag will be displayed at times when divers are in the water and the Master of the dive support vessel will maintain VHF communication with any nearby vessels on channels 12 and 16.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gourock Ferry Terminal during this time are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear of the dive support vessel and old Kilcreggan Steps when an A flag is being displayed.
