Mariners are advised that commencing on 09 August 2021, contractors Aberdeen Marine will be undertaking repairs to pier fendering on the linkspan berth and south steps at Armadale Ferry Terminal, Armadale Bay, Isle of Skye.

The work is scheduled to be completed within 6-weeks and will be undertaken from the pier deck and from the water, using a workboat supported as necessary by diving operations.

All works will be carried out during the evening/overnight to avoid any disruption to the timetabled ferry services.

To protect the contractors and divers, mariners are advised that out with the published times of ferry services the linkspan berth and south steps will be closed to all vessels unless by prior arrangement with the CalMac Port Manager who will consult with the contractor.

The contractor will maintain VHF communications on channel 16 and an A-flag will always be displayed when divers are in the water.

Due to the restricted visibility during the scheduled working hours all vessels navigating in the vicinity of Armadale Ferry Terminal at are requested to do so with caution, stay well clear of the pier and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash.
