NTM 48/16 Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal Work Boat Inspection of Cathodic Protection & Linkspan
Mariners are advised that weather permitting, an inspection of the Marine Cathodic Protection under the pier and linkspan at Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal, Fiirth of Clyde will be undertaken on Thursday, 14th July 2016.
CMAL’s consulting engineers Wallace Stone will be operating from the quayside and a small workboat. The workboat will be operated along the length of the quayside and it is anticipated the inspection will be completed within one day.
The consultant’s supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager, Masters
and skippers of the Caledonian MacBrayne, Argyll and Kilcreggan ferries to ensure there scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 12 and 16 will also be monitored.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Wemyss Bay Ferry Terminal are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
