NTM 31/24 Islay Vessel Enabling Works Update – Kennacraig Dredging

With reference to NTM 25/24, mariners are advised that additional vessels will be undertaking dredging works on the North side of Kennacraig Ferry Terminal Pier, West Loch Tarbert.
Works will now be undertaken by vessels ‘Dinopotes’, ‘Chloe May’, ‘Willpower’ and ‘Wyre Bay’. There will also be two supporting barges.
The vessels will all be working at the same time. While some are dredging, some will be collecting the spoil and transiting to deposit at the spoil ground located within the area bounded by joining the following points.

55° 37.79’ N 6° 31.44’ W
55° 38.55’ N 6° 30.72’ W
While dredging works are ongoing, mariners navigating in the vicinity of the Kennacraig Ferry Terminal and West Loch Tarbert are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear of the North side of the pier which remains closed to all vessels not connected with the enabling works.
Unless otherwise promulgated, if this NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it remains in force.
