NTM 31/23 Oban Railway Pier Linkspan No. 2 Inspection

Mariners are advised an inspection of the linkspan no.2 at Oban Ferry Terminal, Railway Pier, Oban Bay, Argyll will take place during 27 July 2023.

Engineers will be operating from the pier and a small workboat that at times may be out of sight beneath the structure. The workboat coxswain will liaise with the Harbour Manager and ferry Masters to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services.

VHF channels 12 and 16 will also be monitored and the inspection is scheduled to be completed within one day.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Oban Ferry Terminal linkspan no.2 on this date are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.

Unless otherwise promulgated, if the NTM is indicated as ‘Active’ then it remains in force.
