Mariners are advised that on or about 30 October 2024, surveyors Caintech Ltd will be undertaking high-resolution bathymetric surveys of areas to the south side of Scalasaig Pier, Colonsay Ferry Terminal, Isle of Colonsay

Weather permitting the work is expected to be completed within one day. The work will be undertaken by an unmanned surface vehicle.

Communication will be maintained with CalMac Ferries Ltd, and others as required via VHF radio throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Colonsay Ferry Terminal during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the USV.

Unless otherwise promulgated, if this NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it remains in force.
