Mariners are advised that commencing on 10 July 2024, surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be undertaking high-resolution bathymetric surveys of areas to the north and south of Largs Ferry Terminal Pier and the inner harbour, Largs Bay, Firth of Clyde.

Weather permitting the work is expected to be completed within one week. The work will be undertaken from survey vessel Marine Sensor.

Communication will be maintained with CalMac Ferries Ltd, and others as required via VHF radio throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Largs Ferry Terminal during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the vessel.

Unless otherwise promulgated, if the NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it remains in force.
