With reference to NTM 13/24, mariners are advised that additional vessels will be undertaking dredging works on the south side of Kennacraig Ferry Terminal Pier, West Loch Tarbert.
Works will now be undertaken by dredgers ‘Wyre Estuary’, ‘Wyre River’ and ‘Wyre Bay’.
The vessels will all be working at the same time. While two are dredging, one will be collecting the spoil and transiting to deposit at the spoil ground located within the area bounded by joining the following points.
55° 38.36’ N 6° 31.86’ W
55° 37.99’ N 6° 30.27’ W
55° 37.79’ N 6° 31.44’ W

While dredging works are ongoing, mariners navigating in the vicinity of the Kennacraig Ferry Terminal and West Loch Tarbert are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear of the south side of the pier which remains closed to all vessels not connected with the enabling works.
In coming weeks, the works will transfer to the north side of the pier and an NTM update will be issued at that time.
Unless otherwise promulgated, if this NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it remains in force.
