NTM 22/17 Coll and Tiree Ferry Terminal Linkspan Inspections
Mariners are advised that weather permitting linkspan inspections will be undertaken at the following ferry terminal locations and dates.
- Coll Ferry Terminal, Loch Eatharna, Isle of Coll – 10 & 11 April 2017
- Tiree Ferry Terminal, Gott Bay, Isle of Tiree – 12 & 13 April 2017
CMAL’s engineers Mott MacDonald & contractor Alchemy Plant will be operating both on the linkspan and at times beneath it in a small workboat. It is anticipated each inspection will be completed within the programmed two days.
The engineering supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager and Masters of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 16 will also be monitored.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Coll and Tiree Ferry Terminals on the above dates are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
