NTM 22/16 Dive Project at Portavadie Ferry Slipway, Loch Fyne
With reference to NTM 20/16, mariners are advised that on Tuesday 02 February 2016, weather permitting GSS (Plant) Ltd will be undertaking a second dive project to remove displaced rocks near to the toe of the Portavadie Ferry Slipway, Loch Fyne.
They will be assisted onsite by contractors Alchemy Plant & Contracting Ltd.
To ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services diving operations are planned to be undertaken between sailings. At all times operational working areas will be appropriately marked using Flag A “Diving Operations”. The dive team supervisor will liaise with the Harbour Manager and ferry skippers and will monitor VHF channel 16.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Portavadie Ferry Slipway are advised to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
