NTM 21/16 Gourock Ferry Terminal Quayside Infrastructure Inspection
Mariners are advised that weather permitting an inspection of the quayside infrastructure at Gourock Ferry Terminal, Firth of Clyde will be undertaken on Wednesday 27th January 2016.
CMAL’s consulting engineers Mouchel, will be operating from the quayside and a small workboat supplied by NG Builders Ltd. The workboat which will be operated along the length of the quayside and it is anticipated the inspection will be completed within one day.
The consultant’s supervisor will liaise with the Port Manager, Masters and skippers of the Caledonian MacBrayne, Argyll and Kilcreggan ferries to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channel 12 and 16 will also be monitored.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Gourock Ferry Terminal are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
