Mariners are advised that following the recent cancellation, weather permitting on 28 January 2018, dive contractor Shearwater Marine Services Ltd will undertake a dive hull inspection of RoRo MV Finlaggan while berthed at Kennacraig Ferry Terminal, West Loch Tarbert, Argyll.
Works will be conducted from on board the vessel and flag A ‘Diving Operations’ will be displayed at all times when divers are in the water. Communication will be maintained with the vessel Master, Harbour Operations staff and others as required via VHF radio throughout the dive project. The survey will be undertaken out with scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.
A safety boat will be in attendance and the work is expected to be completed within 1-day.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Kennacraig Ferry Terminal on the above date are requested to do so with caution, maintain a lookout for the safety boat and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly during the period of the survey.
