Mariners are advised that today, as a result of Storm Eowyn, the large 18m ferry gangway has gone missing from the pier at Port Ellen Ferry Terminal, Loch Leodamais, Isle of Isle, and is suspected to have been swept into the water and submerged on the pier linkspan berth.

Until a dive search and recovery can be undertaken the linkspan berth as indicated below will remain closed to all vessels.

Mariners navigating in the vicinity of Port Ellen Ferry Terminal during this time are requested to do so with caution and remain clear of the linkspan berth.

Unless otherwise promulgated, if this NTM is still marked as ‘Active’ it is still in force.
