Lochaline Ferry Terminal
Fast facts:
- MV Lochinvar normally operates on this route. It replaced MV Loch Fyne in 2016.
- Lochaline Harbour was originally designed for small vessels.
- The ferry journey from Lochaline to the Isle of Mull (Fishnish) is only 18 minutes.
Located in the Morven area of the Highlands, Lochaline is in the Sound of Mull offering access to the main village, the harbour is used purely for passenger/cargo ferries.
In 2020, we completed a 12-month infrastructure project as part of our ongoing programme of harbour upgrades. The slipway was widened and improved, and the marshalling area was expanded as well as the installation of a new aligning structure at the terminal.
The ferry lies over at night and is electrically charged in preparation for the following days sailing.
