Mariners are advised that commencing on 06 July 2020 works will be undertaken to repair cathodic protection around the aligning structure, slipway and approaches at Lochaline Ferry Terminal, Morvern.
Works will be conducted from the slipway and will involve a dive team. Flag A ‘Diving Operations’ will be displayed at all times when divers are in the water, during which times the pier and slipway will be closed to berthing by all vessels. The dive supervisor will maintain communication as required via VHF radio throughout the dive project.
Work is expected to be completed within two days and will not impact on timetabled ferry services.
All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Lochaline Ferry Terminal during this time are requested to do so with caution, maintain a lookout for the dive team and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
