FENDER REPAIRS

Mariners are advised that on Saturday 13th August 2022, essential fender repair works will be undertaken at No. 1 linkspan berth, Railway Pier, Oban Ferry Terminal.

Works are scheduled to be completed within 2-days and will be conducted from the shore with a small workboat and potentially the Dorus Mhor if required.

The works supervisor will liaise with ferry masters and the local port manager to ensure there is no disruption to timetabled ferry services and during the works the workboat will maintain a radio watch on channels 12 and 16.

Mariners navigating through Oban Bay in the vicinity of the ferry terminal during this time are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear of No. 1 linkspan berth when the workboat is alongside.
