Mariners are advised that weather permitting a condition survey of the linkspan no. 1 structure will be undertaken at Oban Ferry Terminal, Oban Bay, Argyll on 08 December 2021.

Engineers will be operating from the linkspan and a small workboat that at times may be out of sight beneath the structure. The workboat coxswain will liaise with the Harbour Manager and ferry masters to ensure there is no disruption to scheduled ferry services. VHF channels 12 and 16 will also be monitored and the inspection is scheduled to be completed within one day.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Oban Ferry Terminal linkspan no. 1 on this date are advised to maintain a look-out for the workboat, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
