Mariners are advised the aids to navigation sector lanterns established to mark the Ro-Ro ferry slipways at the locations listed below are non-precision sector lanterns with a manufacturer published accuracy of +/-2°.

It has been noted, particularly in the Sound of Mull area, that precipitation (e.g., rain, fog, mist) may cause additional refraction of the emitted light resulting in visual inaccuracy of the sector light edges of up to +/-4°.

Mariners are reminded the primary purpose of the sector lights is to provide a navigational aid for the operation of Caledonian MacBrayne RoRo ferries who are the sole users of the slipways.
