Mariners are advised that as part of the reconstruction works of Colintraive and Rhubodach ferry slipways, Kyles of Bute, contractors require to undertake dredging works to the front of the permanent slipways at both respective locations.

Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 26 February 2018 and will be carried out by dredger MV Shearwater which will be operating between 06:00 and 21:00 hours daily for a period of 14 days.

 

 

The vessel’s Master will monitor communications on VHF channels 12 and 16 and can be contacted directly on 07393 586352.

In compliance with the conditions of the licence, dredged material will be disposed of at position 55° 51.000’ N  005° 2.994’ W, Rothesay Bay, MA016

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Colintraive or Rhubodach ferry slipways during this time are advised to maintain a look-out for the dredger, proceed with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly.
