NTM 27/15 Works to Install Pontoons at Loch Leodamais, Port Ellen, Islay

Mariners are advised that from today’s date, Campbell Marine Contracts will be undertaking works to install pontoons within inner Loch Leodamais, Port Ellen, Islay.

Works should be completed within eight days.

Most works will be undertaken on the surface from a workboat but during this time there will also be a requirement to use divers.

During periods of diving operations the dive team supervisor will liaise with the Harbour Manager, ensure Flag A is prominently displayed at all times while divers are in the water and will monitor VHF channel 16. The dive operation will not impact on scheduled ferry operations.

All vessels navigating in the vicinity of Loch Leodamais are advised to do so with caution and regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash accordingly and to remain clear of any on-going works.
