NTM 16/03 West Loch Tarbert, Argyll Bathymetric & Geophysical Surveys
Mariners are advised that from 7 March 2023, surveyors Aspect Land & Hydrographic Surveys will be undertaking high-resolution bathymetric and geophysical surveys of areas within West Loch Tarbert, Argyll, specifically the mouth of the loch, and areas in the vicinity of Black Rocks and Kennacraig Ferry Terminal.
Weather permitting, work is scheduled to be completed within 2-weeks and will be undertaken from survey vessel Coastal Sensor.
The survey vessel will maintain VHF radio communication with CalMac Ferries Ltd, and others as required throughout all survey works. Surveys will be completed between sailings of the scheduled ferry services to avoid any disruption.
All vessels navigating within West Loch Tarbert during this time are requested to maintain a lookout for the survey vessel and pass at a safe distance and speed to minimise the effects of wash on the vessel.
