Mariners are advised that about 18:00hrs this evening, 17 January 2022, a dive inspection of the Caledonian MacBrayne ferry MV Isle of Mull will be undertaken while the vessel is berthed at No. 1 linkspan, Railway Pier, Oban Ferry Terminal.
Works are scheduled to be completed within 1-day and will be undertaken from the linkspan and shore.
An A-Flag will be displayed when divers are in the water. The dive supervisor will also maintain VHF communication on channels 12 and 16 and liaise with ferry masters and the local port manager to ensure there is no disruption to timetabled ferry services.
Mariners navigating through Oban Bay in the vicinity of the ferry terminal at this time are requested to do so with caution, regulate their speed to minimise the effects of wash and stay well clear of the MV Isle of Mull.
